They took out flash-paper masters scribd--nifty and interesting site, but they may have also gone after the old #bookz channel on IRC (which is now requiring invites before you can join... defeating the purpose of that site. I think this is how the movie channels on IRC run things.)
It's a sort of hanger-on at the base of the Science Fiction Writer's Assocation move. And Doctorow ain't happy.
Unfortunately, I know too much about DMCA take-downs... hopefully Scribd has better back-ups than I did.
