Kindle has a device PID

I’m thinking if enough people scream, they will get Amazon to let you use paid-for DRM mobipocket ebooks on Kindle. Unless Amazon/Mobipocket couldn’t get the feature ready for launch… But of course, that never happens.

Kindle Doesn’t Convert .prc

There was a rumor going around that Kindle converted .prc (Mobipocket) files into the amazon .azw format. Nope, if you download .prc direct to the device, or just copy them over, they remain .prc. No conversion happens.
