Robin Williams Was in My Booth Today!
He wore these wrap-around sunglasses, so at first I couldn’t figure out who he was. Then he mentioned to the person he was signing an autograph for that he enjoyed book festivals. And you sorta know the voice.
Interestingly, at the same moment he came in, the person I saved my Baton Rouge swag bag for was snagging title after title, so I couldn’t try to talk to him or anything. He did look approvingly at Goodloe’s covers. If I’d thought about it, I’d've handed him the Kersh book we’ve got on Olympia (about show business…) Heard later Williams was performing at a show down the street. With him was a tall Asian woman, whom I did not recognize.
Third show in a row I’ve paid for the table, but I’m now out of folklore. And Paul Cain, McCoy, Mimi, Romer’s Werewolf, etc.
