Kindle UK Sept. 9th?

Well placed sources have told Stuff.tv that Amazon is working to launch the Amazon Kindle ereader in Europe as soon as the end of the IFA conference next week.
If this story is still floating around, I can only add, Amazon’s doing an ass-load of stuff currently to prune the Kindle store of infringing and PD titles. (I just got an email about some documents I’d sent over Wednesday to verify a few titles, this minute, on a Saturday. Poor, under-appreciated and overworked Kindle staffers!)
So, if you were thinking, Sony’s got 12k ebooks in the UK vs. 0 for Amazon, and that’s a good point… edge may not go so steeply in Sony’s favor for long
