Published in 1915, Jean of the Lazy A is a Western novel by B. M. Bower (1871–1940). The story follows Jean Douglas, a ranch girl whose father is wrongly convicted of murder and sent to prison. Determined to prove his innocence, Jean becomes involved in the early silent film industry shooting on location in Montana, blurring the line between reel life and real danger.
