Published in 1910, The Happy Family is a Western novel by B. M. Bower (1871–1940) and part of her long-running Flying U ranch series. The book follows the misadventures and camaraderie of the cowboys at the Flying U, as pranks, rivalries, and unexpected visitors disrupt the rhythms of ranch life. Bower's strength was her ear for cowboy dialogue and her ability to balance humor with authentic detail.
